Not many movie buffs are familiar with the face of the sexy aspiring star actress, Beverly Naya,not until her seductive scene in a movie titled “Home in Exile” gave her the much needed recognition.
Although, it’s now over two years that the film was shot, some rumour mongers had hit the street claiming that Beverly and Desmond actually took the make believe romance beyond the scene.

you are known for sex roles. Is that your calling?
That’s funny question. Anyone that might have said that maybe because of the one I have done that has a little sex scene, and I think it’s the movie poster, Forbidden Fruit which caused a little controversy. And I was not the one there. And in the movie, you realize that people did worse than I did, and I can mention a lot of Nollywood actresses who are also doing the same thing now.
And I have not even done five of such movies where some of Nollywood actresses have done more than 20.
I have not showed any sensitive part of my body. I can never go nude completely in any movie.
Most Ghollywood movies have many sex related scenes. What is your take on it?
Do you know your fact is not right at all? I don’t think I am in that position to answer that, a director should be in the best position to answer that.
For me,I can’t boast of five movies of such scenes and any time I feature in movies like that, it has to be classy and not trashy like other people do.
People are just taking advantage and over doing things and it is not going on in Ghollywood again.
There is a new movie produced in Ghana, Sex City?
I am not aware of it. How can I answer when I am not part of it?
Producers are just taking advantage because they think it will increase their sales. I don’t think it is fair because they are abusing it.
Have parents in Ghana ever complained about the sex scenes?
Any parent would complain about such movies. Some foreign movies have sex related scenes, and when we produce a family movie, the children should watch such.
Any movie written above 18years, children shouldn’t be allowed to watch movies like that would always be around.
Don’t you think it promotes immorality?
Yes of course, it does. That is why I am saying if at the end of the movie, it’s just sex; parents should keep watching their children because it is not only in movies they see such scenes. They see it on internet as well. People should not put it all on these movies.
It’s just the producer taking advantage.
What does it take to be an actress in Ghana?
You must be talented and you must have the whole packaging and also be presentable for TV. Above all, you must be passionate and have all the required skills.
What is the difference between Nollywood and Ghollywood?
We are all the same. I don’t want to discriminate.Yes, we are Ghanaians and you people are Nigerians, still we are the same.
The only difference is that Nollywood has a bigger market than the Ghanaian movies. And I give all the credit to Nollywood because our directors, script writers are all Nigerians.
But recently the directing, script writing is doing pretty well too, but all the credit goes to Nollywood because Frank Pajah is still in Ghana directing for us.So, there is a bit of Nollywood in Ghollywood.And we are doing better.
What is your reaction towards Nollywood and Ghollywood actors paying tax in either country before featuring in movies?
I don’t think it’s real because I just did some few jobs in Nigeria.
John Dumelo is also there doing his works. It’s just the stuff people read that mislead them.Rumours can be very dangerous when it gets to a point that looks like the truth, and readers can’t differentiate the truth form rumour.
So, nothing has really changed about Nollywood and Ghollywood.
Who do you enjoy working with in Nollywood?
My all time is Genevieve Nnaji.The first time I came to Nigeria in 2007, she was the first person I worked with and I love her as well. I also love Mercy Johnson and Susan Peters. I love Mike Ezuruonye,Desmond Elliot,Emeka Ike,Jim Iyke,Chidi Mokeme and others.
Tell us about your life?
I wish there is something to say. Journalists keep writing about me because I never come out with who I am dating.Really,I am just there, happy and happy with my love life. I used to be in love but not in love anymore.Maybe,when I was 18,maybe my first love.
Tell us your kind of man?
I am not that kind of choosy person. I don’t look out for the very sexy type, someone that the garage is full with cars. But he must be hard working; he must be fun to be with. I don’t deal with physical appearance.
Is it difficult to find the right man?
Yes, because for everybody in showbiz, it is difficult because Nigerians are used to the mentality of seeing you on TV and keep saying and thinking all sort of things, and it affects most of us in finding the real person.So,it’s difficult unless the person does know what you are doing.
MERCY JOHNSON IN DISTRESS,RAN TO MOUNTAIN OF FIRE MINISTRIES TO SEEK FOR DIVINE INTERVENTION
Few weeks to the much talk about wedding of sultry actress, Mercy Johnson, things seems to be falling apart between Mercy and her fiancé, Prince Odianosen Okojie as we learnt Mercy has threaten him that she will call off the wedding if he fails to proffer a lasting solution to the mess he caused.
Reliable source close to Mercy Johnson revealed that Prince Odianose Okogie lied to Mercy that what he did with Loveth was a fake marriage for paper purposes and that he only had one child not two from Loveth.
Close friends of Mercy revealed that since the news broke out, she has not been herself, crying her eyes out saying “I hate drama in my life”
Meanwhile, Prince Odianosen legal wife Loveth has moved a step further to stop the wedding as she has written to Pastor Chris Oyakhilome to stop the union, saying Prince has not legally divorced her but dumped her and made her to suffer as he never cater for the children nor did he play his role as husband.

Meanwhile, Prince Odianosen and his family have been begging the bride to be to forgive him and carry on with the wedding.
Further findings reveals that Mercy Johnson has taken a step of faith by seeking the face of God at the camp ground of a popular Pentecostal Church in Nigeria called Mountain of Fire and miracles(MFM) praying fervently and seeking for divine intervention.
But from the look of things, it looks like the wedding will hold as Loveth could not produce the marriage certificate to back up her claims.

Popular actress mercy Johnson has finally called off her planned wedding to Odianosen Okojie. This is coming after an allegation of husband snatching was leveled against the actress by Okojie’s wife, Lovely.
Mercy reportedly made the move to absolve herself of the allegation and revamp her battered image.
Calling off the marriage is an advised move aimed at portraying her in good light with fans and critics.

A lady called Lovely Okojie claims to be your legally married wife. She said in an email to us that you're planning to marry another wife without her knowledge and consent. Is that true?
Thanks for asking the true state of this scandal, yes I know the said Lovely, she is not my legally married wife anymore, the pictures and relationship she is talking about was dissolved in 2007.
Yes I am planning to marry another wife and seeing we're not together since 2007, I don't need her consent.
Once and for all, clear the air about your relationship with Lovely Okojie. Are both of you dating, married, or divorced, what's the situation?
My early answer to your question says it all; I am no longer with her.
Lovely Okojie said on the phone with one of our reporters that you told her that Mercy Johnson was just a business partner and that you were in Nigeria to do some contracts and suddenly she started reading online that you're going to marry her. Is that true?
We broke up in 2007 when she was having extra marital affairs, after the demise of the relationship, I relocated to Nigeria, and later heard she has moved to Canada, I can't be living with her when she is based in Canada and I have been living in Nigeria all this years.
I met mercy in 2008 and we've been dating since then, Lovely surely knows why she is coming up with such lies to destroy my relationship, because I told her about this wedding myself last year 2010.
She supplied us evidence of your marriage to her and photographs of you playing with your lovely kids – and that touched the hearts of our readers. What do you have to say about that, are the proofs real?
Yes they're real pictures taken long time ago, I love my kids and I always try to be in contact with them.

MERCY JOHNSON BURST INTO TEARS ON MOVIE LOCATION, FINALLY RESOLVED FOR A SECRET WEDDING
Embattled star actress, Mercy Johnson recently wept profusely on a movie location in Festac, Lagos.
According to source,Mercy seems to be disturbed about the scandal and many negative reactions trailing her over-hyped forthcoming wedding to an already married father of two (Odianose Okojie).
We gathered that MJ as the controversial actress is fondly called was on set with her other colleagues such as: Oge Okoye, Bobby Michael, Prince Eke and Vincent Opurum, while bemoaning her fate quietly.
According to a reliable insider, Mercy drove herself to location throughout the duration of their shoot (July 30 to August 10) in a blue-coloured Lexus saloon car.
“Throughout our shoot, Mercy was very sober and constantly kept to herself. In fact, after reading one of the papers that wrote about her wedding crisis privately in her car, she broke down and wept profusely. She later composed herself and told some of us around to pray for her to overcome the crisis. Our happiness was that while on set, she did not allow the situation of things to affect her job because she was the lead actress,” disclosed the insider.
Narrating further, the source said the movie was from the stable of Bold Step Pictures, directed by one Ifeanyi Ogbonna and tentatively entitled Killer Girls.
He recalled that there was a particular day Mercy locked herself inside her car and wept like a baby.
“We all felt for her and on few occasions I also saw her praying quietly in her car, while waiting to shoot her scenes with tears rolling down her cheek. Mercy was also bold enough to tell me and some crew members to pray for her on set. Some of us bought newspapers and magazines with Mercy’s story and picture on their front covers, so her case was an open secret on our set. She read hers inside her car the first day the story broke, but was still able to control herself till we finished on set. For me, that actually makes her a strong person, because at some point we became scared and thought she was going to abandon set based on the stories in different papers, but she maintained her cool, finished all her scenes and left quietly to carry her cross alone. She was really a pathetic sight to behold in those quiet moments alone inside her car.”
On whether any of the stars on set discussed the issue with Mercy or among themselves, this insider maintained nothing of such happened while he was around.
“Mercy kept to herself, so also her colleagues. Just the normal greetings, they all kept to themselves and carried on with the production that brought them together in Festac.”
Meanwhile, further findings reveals that the reason the actress has refused to issue a public statement on the husband snatching scandal rocking her August 27 2011 wedding is because she is considering a secret wedding, especially now that news of calling off the wedding has made the rounds.
But whatever her game plan is, obviously it is just a matter of days before it’s apparent to all.
